A useful claim needs
a source and a boundary.
Our regulatory guides are researched against official sources. Operating recommendations and fictional examples are identified separately.
Who publishes these guides
MarketPass by Encode publishes this website and its operating notes. The service is operated by ENCODE INFO - FZCO. We do not attribute the material to an invented expert, claim regulator endorsement or present stock photography as a customer engagement.
Our source hierarchy
- Binding legislation: EUR-Lex texts, amendments and current Annex I determine the legal provisions. We read the base regulation with subsequent amendments.
- Official implementation material: Commission guidance, FAQs, timetable, country benchmarking and Information System documentation help interpret and operate the process. Guidance is distinguished from binding law.
- Operational interpretation: our request structures, record examples and review gates are practical recommendations, not additional legal requirements or a regulator-approved standard.
Important regulatory claims link directly to the relevant official source near the claim. A source list provides the wider context. We do not use a secondary summary as the sole basis for a legal deadline, product classification or submission duty.
Publication, review and changes
Published dates reflect the first website release of the guide. Last reviewed dates reflect a substantive source/content review. The original five retained guides were published 2 October 2026 and reviewed 4 October 2026; the new scope guide and this methodology were published 4 October 2026.
We review affected content when legislation, Commission guidance or system instructions materially change, including scope, dates, actor duties or evidence/submission requirements. This is a stated editorial process, not a promise of continuous automatic legal monitoring. A visitor should check current official sources for a live decision.
How a source review becomes an edit
We identify the changed provision, find every affected published claim, check exceptions and dependencies, update the explanation and references, and check related service pages, metadata and glossary entries. A materially incomplete guide may be withheld from the index while it is rewritten.
Seven earlier general guides have been withdrawn from the resource index and marked noindex. Their URLs explain the editorial review and point to the six current operator-level guides; their previous summaries are not presented as current guidance.
Examples and service claims
All worked chains, identifiers, diagnostic findings and sample reports are fictional unless an actual source is explicitly identified. They are not customer case studies. We distinguish receipt of a record, technical checks, a supported relationship and the operator’s approval. We do not promise certification, guaranteed compliance or customs release.
